Sermon Series - Join us this Sunday
The Bible begins with a cosmic scope to all of creation but quickly narrows its focus to the calling of one man, Abraham, and his offspring. In theology he is the first patriarch, followed by Isaac and Jacob. (Joseph isn't considered a patriarch, but we'll also look at him). The primary thing we'll see in this study is God's persistence in his pursuit of reconciliation with fallen mankind. Our God is the true seeker, calling one man to win all mankind. The patriarchs are commended for their faithfulness (see Hebrews 11), despite the many examples of their sinfulness. This should give us all hope. The patriarchs trusted the promises of a God who was bigger than their shortcomings. God refers to himself as "the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob." Join us as we study key events in their relationship with the Lord.
