Welcome to GraceKids!
One of our core values is engaging the next generation, and the children's ministry of Grace Anglican Church partners with families to lead children in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Jennifer Lancaster, Director of Children's Ministry, runs all of our outstanding programs. Each area of children's ministry provides a developmentally appropriate, gospel-centered environment for your child. Few things are more exciting than seeing a child begin to understand and embrace how much God loves them, provides for them, and protects them. We minister to each child so they understand their unique purpose and grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus. Children's programs are held in the Administrative Building (located next to the Sanctuary) and for elementary age children in the narthex (church lobby).
- Designed for parents and kids - The children's classes meet at the same time as the adult services. So while you are worshiping and learning, your children are experiencing God at their own pace.
- Bible-based teaching - All children's programs receive age-appropriate Bible lessons that are presented in a way that is fun, memorable, and enables your children to learn.
- It's safe - We take safety and security of your children very seriously. All of our childcare employees have had background screenings, and every event has supervisors and teachers who are American Red Cross Child & Youth CPR qualified. A member of our security team is also present in the narthex during lessons.
Sunday Programs for Children
Children's ministry programming is on Sunday mornings at all of our services. Learn more about Sunday worship services here.
SUNDAY MORNINGS - 8:30 AM & 11:00 AM Services
Nursery - Kindergarten* meet in our Administration Building. At sign-in, each child will be given a sticker with a specific number on it. The same number on a stub will be given to the parent/guardian. Parents will also provide a mobile telephone number and note any allergies for the child. If an issue arises with your child, workers will text the parent/guardian at the mobile number provided.
Nursery (from birth - age 2)
Our team loves to care for your little ones while you worship God in the sanctuary next door. Parents are welcome to pick their child up prior to communion or after the service has concluded.
Preschool Class (from age 3 - Kindergarten*)
Surrounded by a loving and caring ministry team, children explore liturgical seasons and Bible stories. Children can be picked up prior to Communion to receive Communion together as a family.
Children's Sermon (Kindergarten* - 6th Grade)
Each Sunday for grades K-6th, we align the adult sermon and children's teachings as well as keep the children in the church building for the whole service. School-aged children will be invited to come forward for the Gospel reading and then recess into the narthex (church lobby) with our children’s team where they will engage with the sermon text. When the adult sermon ends, they will come back to their family’s pew. At the end of the service, everyone will be given a discussion question related to the Gospel text as a way of encouraging further discussion and reflection for families or for individuals.
*Nursery through Kindergarten will have children’s classes in the Administrative building. Parents of Kindergarteners can choose where their child should go. For those going into the nursery and pre-K children’s classes, drop off and pick up will remain as usual (see above for drop off/pick up details for each age group).
