Walking with Christ

I have found a way of winding myself down when things seem to be getting hectic.  I picture myself walking behind thirteen men as they follow along the banks of the Sea of Galilee or the Jordan River.  Twelve of them are listening intently to the calm man leading, Jesus.  He is speaking and instructing them on faith and the Kingdom of God.  Occasionally, he stops to heal and minister to those along the way.   Can you picture it?  To be that close to him and feel his peace- how comforting!

How wonderful it must have been to follow his footsteps and listen to him speak of giving glory to his Father.  The beautiful thing is that we can have his peace at any time by turning  to him in prayer.  He loves you and patiently waits for you to come to him.  I hope imagining walking along side the Lord helps comfort you as it has me.
