Isaiah: Covenant Faithfulness

This book is the first of the major prophets in the Bible. God's prophets served as his legislative prosecutors, calling the kings and Israelites to repent and return to God. Isaiah might have felt like he would help his initial hearers do this, but it turned out that God sent him to speak a word that would only harden their hearts and speed them toward exile (See Isa. 6:9). Despite Isaiah's frustrating crowd, his mastery of Hebrew poetry and writing takes us into themes of holiness, judgment, messianic prediction, hope and restoration. We'll trace the high points throughout his book over the next nine weeks. It is full of good news for sinners. Join us each Sunday for this next preaching focus.
