Young Life Ministry

Young Life was made for teens.  Since they believe teens matter, they go to them on their turf and in their culture, building bridges of authentic friendship. These relationships don't happen overnight — they take time, patience, trust and consistency.

Young Life believes in the power of presence. Kids' lives are dramatically influenced when caring adults come alongside them, sharing God's love with them. Because their Young Life leaders believe in them, they begin to see that their lives have great worth, meaning and purpose.

Clay County currently has a Young Life team serving 9th-12th grade students at St. Johns Country Day School and Fleming Island High School. Club meets on Monday evenings at The Barn.  A new Young Life Club that serves students at Orange Park High School has been launched, and club meetings are now being held each week at the Orange Park Presbyterian Church Youth Building.

There is also a Wyldlife team serving 7th and 8th grade students that meets on Sunday evenings at Fleming Island Presbyterian Church.

YoungLives ministry has also been launched in Clay County to build relationships with teen moms, offering guidance in matters of faith and parenting and encouraging them to become the women and mothers God created them to be.  YoungLives meets on Monday evenings at The Potters House in Jacksonville and will soon move to High Point Church in Orange Park.

Young Life, Wyldlife, and YoungLives is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers and leaders!  For more information,  please contact Stephanie Van Dyke or go to their website.
